A short street theatre performance depicting the illegal arrest of Lhamo, her custodial death, and the subsequent arrest of her nephew was organized yesterday evening at 4 pm. In collaboration with major NGOs based in Dharamshala, the short street theatre performance was held to raise awareness about the recent custodial death of Lhamo, a Tibetan herder and a mother of three, and the arrest of her nephew, Tharpa. Also calling for the release of a Tibetan singer named Lhundup, who was illegally sentenced to six years in prison for a song ‘Black Hat’and to highlight the deteriorating human rights situation in Dhiru County (Tibet).
