China Controlled 6 Delegate Seats more than the Tibetan

In the recent 10th party member meeting of Tibet Autonomous Region, the administration of TAR like many crucial decisions is made. The most significant decision is the amendment of party delegate seat distributions among Tibetan and Chinese candidates.

During the 10th TAR party council meeting, announced 75 seats with the allotment of 34 seats for Tibetan, 40 seats for Chinese, and 1 seat for the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (NHAR). Thus Chinese secured 6 more seats than the Tibetans. But during the 9th party member meeting of TAR in 2016, both Tibetan and Chinese secured perfect half of 37 seats out of 74 with 50 percent of seats for each.

Also in the 8th party member meeting of TAR in 2011, Tibetan acquired 35 seats with 58.33% and Chinese with 25 seats 41.67% out of 60 avail seats. Which Tibetan secured 10 more seats than the Chinese as compared to the present allotment. Research proved the growing power and control of China over the TAR. China securing TAR’s highest command post of secretary, China with 9 seats of Committee members leaving only 6 for Tibetan out of 15, and with the current acquisition of 6 more seats, the Tibetan community of TAR left with limited access to rights and self-governance.

Therefore, through proper research to expose CCP’s administration policies in Tibet and the consequences of it, and the number of Chinese candidates within the Tibetan community’s offices and departments, be able to attain International support.
