The ‘Xi Jinping Thought on Rule of Law’ Research Center was inaugurated on June 27, 2021, according to the official state news.
Xi now has achieved the highest political power in history; Hu Jin Tao and Jiang Zemin have never exercised such power during their term as the President. The famed Chinese revolutionary and statesmen Deng Xiaoping has also never exercised such power. Xi‘s power is thus recognized as historic over his counterparts over the years. “Xi Jinping thought on Rule of Law” has become an important part of Chinese constitutional law and system. This further asserts Xi’s political power and influence.
Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and member of the 9th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Zhen addressed the meeting. In his address, he initially congratulated the inauguration of the center which coincides with the centenary celebrations of the CCP. He further highlighted the importance of Xi Jin Ping Thought on Rule of Law which is a direct result of the transformation of Marxist ideology. He added that the scholars and researchers should study and practice Xi’s Thought on Rule of Law. He deliberated that the research analysis and application of Xi’s thought on Rule of Law should be applied on the basis of roles of commission and a centre to be established gradually. The Research centers are expected of high-quality research on Xi’s Thought on the basis of different perspectives such as philosophy, culture, and texts. The members and delegates of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and Supreme People’s Court also attended the meeting and addressed the gathering.
“Xi Jinping’s Thought” was officially registered in the Communist Party’s Glossary during the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party held in 2017. It was also legislated that the philosophy will be studied and sustained in long term. It is further studied and advertised nationally. Additionally, it is also added to school curriculums of all levels.
